Guilty Gear XX #Reload Review – No Spoilers ^_^

Guilty Gear XX #Reload The Midnight Carnival Cover Art

Guilty Gear XX #Reload is a game developed by Arc System Works and is part of the Guilty Gear Franchise. It is a fighting game with very fast paced actions. The art is entirely anime based and is really appealing to the eyes. The soundtrack in the game is amazing. Arc System Works mostly creates video games with anime art style and this one is also the same.

The game has plenty of characters to choose and each character has their own set of abilities. The abilities can be activated by pressing a certain combination of keys in a certain order. Each character has one or two ‘big’ moves which are spectacular animations which deal a tremendous amount of damage to the opponents.

Each character also has a story associated with them. When you play in the story mode then you will be able to choose a character and play through their stories. The story mode of the game is just you playing through the story of the character you have chosen and when you have played all the characters then you will be able to put the story together and understand what is actually going on in the Guilty Gear world. Once you do that it is a really satisfying experience but it will take you some time to beat the whole game. It is really challenging.

Before battles you are presented with certain dialogues between certain characters. The dialogues will tell you the story. After the dialogues ends the fight ensues and there are some fights where winning or losing will determine the outcome of the story.

The game also has a training mode where you can practice fighting and the move sets of the characters. You can also play with another human player on the same machine by going to the VS mode.

Well that’s about it. Personally I loved the game and I hope that this review will help you decide if you want to buy this game or not. It is available on Steam:
