So I was scrolling through dank memes and anime tiddies when I saw a post about little fighter 2 today (2021, I am publishing this article in 2023 though). Someone was asking ‘Do you know this game?’ and I was like, know? That game probably makes up a small part of me. Of course I know. I was just thinking about playing that game just 10 minutes earlier. I had actually fired it up after quite a few months this time.
So, I first got introduced to this game around 2002. Yeah I mean, that’s old af. Back then I had a copy which was buggy, possibly pirated but damn…was it fun! I played it with my cousins and we had loads of fun even when we did not know how to do combos. Most of the time when we were facing a tough crowd or enemy we would all take Henry so that we can have a ranged attack. The version which we played only had 2 stages in the stage mode, the forest one and the prison one. We played that version for many years and eventually we learned how to do combos. And man, that was a great day, I still remember it. As soon as we started doing combos the game became so much more fun. We were doing powers left and right and although we were not able to beat very tough enemies we were still having a lot of fun.

Then time passed, my elder brother took the computer for his studies and then we switched to playing my pirated SNES. It wasn’t the same but it was okay. Then didn’t see my cousins for many years and when I finally met them again I had the ‘INTERNET’. So, what I did was download the game from the official https://lf2.net/ website and we got the full version and we enjoyed it again but this time fully. And it was so much more fun. *Sigh* I guess they grew out of that. But, I didn’t. I am still stuck in that time and space. I can still remember some visions and feelings of those times. Would I want to live them again? I don’t know. Probably not because I had to go to school at that time and school was slavery and torture. But hey, schools, am I right? Heh.
I hate schools.
Anyway, so lo and behold, Marti has announced a new version of Little Fighter with updated artwork and I am soooo looking forward to it. I followed Marti on Instagram ( Follow Marti here: https://www.instagram.com/marti.wong/) and I am following his development logs. Please make this game Marti. We are looking forward to it. At least, I am.
I remember making Digimon board games and playing them with my other younger cousin on my terrace to make up for the lack of a computer system. Ah, those were the days.
